Permanent - Exclusive Retained
By far the most effective way to work with recruitment consultants is on an exclusive basis. Although we are very effective ‘contingent’ recruiters, the ‘multiple-agency’ or contingent model is flawed as it results in diminished accountability. The contingent model forces recruiters towards a ‘numbers-game’ approach where they work the maximum number of jobs and interview the maximum number of candidates to hit sales targets. The more a recruiter works like this the more service levels drop and the more quality assurance goes out the window.

Non-Ongoing Contracts (Government)
A popular way to cover our Government client’s temporary needs is through non-ongoing contracts. It is a very cost-effective way to source temporary staff quickly and efficiently. As a result of HorizonOne’s careful selection processes and strong subject matter expertise, many of our non-ongoing contractors go on to find ongoing work within the organisation.
This method also provides an excellent opportunity for both clients and candidates to ‘try before you buy’, through 3, 6 or 12 month initial contract periods. Non-ongoing contracts provide a fast and efficient way to fill a vacancy with the flexibility of a ‘way out’ if the fit is not ideal.
Hourly Rate Contracts
By far the fastest, most hassle-free way to resolve immediate vacancies is through hourly rate contractors. By working as a team, HorizonOne are able to deliver a fast, efficient solution for a wide range of temporary recruiting needs.
Independent Consultants/Contractors
Over time we have proactively developed an extensive network of independent contractors who work either through their own company or through recruitment agencies on a contract basis. By fostering these long term relationships and keeping in contact with this group of proven performers, we are able to offer our clients a holistic business service. Similar to a management consulting firm we analyse your business’s need and effectively match this need to a proven performer.
